THIS IS HOW
IT WORKS
Product sourcing and development is not a simple undertaking, that's why we're here to help you avoid and over the obstacles to achieve your product vision. Each step is explained here in detail.
LEARN MORE1. PRODUCT DESIGN
In this stage we work with you and turn your product idea or concept into a detailed tech pack. This stage includes lots of discussion, photos, swatch gathering, supplier sourcing, and we need to understand how you want the product to be perceived by the end customer.
We use the tech pack to document the details and ensure we all have the same understanding of the new product. The tech pack is also used to communicate with manufacturers and provide them all the details needed to correctly construct the product. Typically this include measurements, materials, colors, trim, hardware, grading, labels, tags, etc.
2. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, COMPLIANCE & TESTING
Once the tech pack is produced we can then move to the prototyping. Be aware that it’s not always possible to manufacture something that is designed. There can be limitations with things such as materials or technology. It is not uncommon for there to be some gap between the ideal tech pack and prototype creation.
Depending on the complexity or uniqueness of the product, this stage can often involve a lot of back and forth discussions to get it right.
Another important aspect of this stage involves the appropriate standards for physical & chemical testing; this relates to construction design and material selection
3. PRICING DETERMINATION
At this stage we discuss and understand your requirements with regards quantities, colors/sizes, material options, delivery dates, shipping terms, etc. and provide pricing to match.
4. ORDER CONFIRMATION
Once the product and pricing details are finalized and agreed, submit your purchase order to confirm order quantities (colors, sizes, etc), along with your 40% down payment.
5. BULK PRODUCTION
After approval of the final sample and successful passing of the chemical/ physical testing as setup in the development stage, it’s time to start mass production. We will perform two sample runs (pre-production sample & top of production sample). These are to test production & assembly, to ensure production steps are working well.
6. INSPECTION & QC
To make sure the factory adheres to the quality and function standards that you expect, we recommend the engagement of Bureauveritas, an independent 3rd party QC inspector to inspect each order before they leave the factory.
Bureauveritas
will provide you with a detailed report including plenty of photos to show your product being produced. (The QC reports are extensive, often around 20 pages.) Once the factory production run passes the final QC inspection, your 60% balance of order payment is required prior to products departing the factory.
7. SHIPPING
Please provide all the shipping information including forwarder contact information, notify party, consignee, etc. so we can book the container to ship the product to your destination.
8. MAINTENANCE
After your order has shipped, if you have any questions we are here and ready to help. If there are any customer claims, or product updates, we will engage and communicate with the factory on your behalf to satisfy these.
